Our Story

A place for our littles to grow, play & belong.

Little Haven was born from a simple feeling: our littles deserve a space of their very own.

Here in the high desert, our lives are always in motion — families passing through on their way to Joshua Tree, military families settling in and finding their footing, and longtime neighbors raising their littles right alongside ours. Through all of it, there was never a space made just for the smallest among us. So we made one, with love, for you.

We believe the years from birth to age six are some of the most precious a person will ever know. This is when our littles learn to share, to play side by side, to make their very first friends, and to discover the whole wide world through their senses and their imaginations. Every pretend tea party, every squish of sensory play, every shy little hello is doing big, beautiful work.

We also know the desert doesn't always make that easy. When it's too hot, too cold, or too windy to play outside, it can feel like the weather is standing between us and the time we long to spend together. Little Haven is our answer — a safe, cozy indoor space where mamas, dadas, nanas, and every caregiver can slow down, be fully present, and make the kind of memories that stay.

There's nothing sweeter than watching your little one light up while you're right there beside them.

Yes, we live in a fast-paced world, and screens fill so much of our days. We feel it too — and it's exactly why we built this place. In these early years, real play, real movement, and real connection matter more than ever. Watching a little one beam while their grown-up plays along, and seeing the quiet relief on a caregiver's face knowing their child is safe and free to explore — that's the most fulfilling part of what we do.

That's what Little Haven is for.

The Science

Why the first years matter so much

We didn't build Little Haven on a feeling alone. The science of early childhood backs up what we see on the play floor every day.

80%

A brain growing fast

From birth to age three, a child's brain develops faster than at any other time in life, reaching about 80% of its adult size.

1 million+

Connections each second

In these first years the brain forms over a million new neural connections every second, keeping the pathways that early experiences reinforce.

A lifelong blueprint

Connection that lasts

The warmth and responsiveness a child feels from caregivers in these years shapes how they handle stress, form relationships, and see themselves for decades to come.

Every hour of play here helps shape the wonderful little person your child is becoming.
